Deloitte sucks! I interviewed with them a few weeks ago. I was a senior consulting S&O a few years back and they now interviewed me for sr consults OTT. Well... I was offered a consultant position
I'm in an interesting position. I got an offer for an Associate manger (level 8) role at a tier 2 firm. I asked if bumping it up to level 7 (Manager) role is an option, and was basically told that it is if I really want to, but I should be careful what I wish for. SM basically told me that he thinks I will be a lot better set up for success in the long run if I were to start at level 8. What are your thoughts? I would be coming from a large ad agency where I'm an Account Director.
As a copywriter with a solid strategic agency background: What’s the best way to find my niche? In-house? Deloitte digital? Regular agency? As I evolve into a senior role, I’m not sure how to leverage this. My two fortes are: Storytelling/scripts, headlines, and conceptual planning.
Have an interview with big 4 this week and stressing about it. What kind of questions should I prepare for?
Any CBS ED applicants heard back on interviews / rejections? What does the average timeline of response look like?
I’ve been interviewing at a variety of companies this week (ranging from FAANG to smaller tech companies to nonprofits). How long after the interview should I give them before assuming I’m out of the running? When I last switched jobs, it was typically about a week - is that still standard?
I am on L1B visa currently. I was promoted to a manager position and hence employer filed for my L1A amendment + extension petition which was denied by USCIS. Reason still unknown. Can the lawyers file for an L1B based extension now?
I have a final interview with another firm. Was told the only open question is about whether I’d come in as Senior Consultant/ Associate or Manager. How should I present my case for manager? Quite frankly, I’d be fine with coming in as SC, but the difference in compensation is too significant to not aim for M.
MBB manager in Life Sciences: struggling to find a good exit. VC/PE - feels like consulting toolkit not really useful, and I’m competing with analysts. Big pharma - in my country too pharmaco not hiring consultants. Startups - don’t sponsor visa. Feels stuck! Any ideas/advice?
BCG 🐠 I am interviewing in your Boston office later this week. Should I wear a tie? My gut reaction says yes, but I watched bunch of videos of your partners, etc and I rarely see them wear ties.
Considering an offer from Facebook for L5 Manager (Non-tech in recruiting) in Austin (remote). TC started at 178. Now 200 TC which I’m told is top of the pay band. Kinda confused because TC feels low for L5 people manager and pay sounds like L5 IC Austin pay. Any thoughts on if this is competitive or if you get a pay cut for working remote? Data to consider: interviews went really well, currently at Google (considering the move for growth to manage 12-20). No info on lvls.fyi for this role
I’m bad at interviewing bc I can’t look at charts and come up with insights on the spot (it takes me a few minutes to process). But that doesn’t mean I’m bad at critical thinking. I feel like the interview process for MBB is flawed
Beware of EY FAAS. They’ll have you interview for one location, tell you you’re fine to wfh, tell you they’re fine with you relocating later, and make it seem like you’ll be working on clients there. Then after they tell you they’re giving you an offer they’ll tell you they’re trying to map you to a different office while you’re out of state until you move to the original office location. Really insincere, why not just tell me you’d have to map me to a different office before or during interview
Anyone have any recommendations on resources for building confidence for interviews? I feel like I’m not getting past many R1s and it must be bc of my subpar interviewing skills.
Chief Talent Officers. Creative Recruiters. Talent Acquisition Manager. Etc. Can anyone help me understand what these people do? Do they all have the same role?
EY partner worried about where I got my undergraduate degree. Basically overlooking my 10 year experience and achievements during interview. Good riddance

Uber recruiter reached out to me about a Strategy Ops Manager role. They asked me my compensation requirement and stated the base is 90k, which is less than what I’m currently making at a lower level. Are they lowballing me? Should I continue with the interviewing anyways and try to negotiate in later stages?
