I am working with decent salary and has 6years of experience. I am thinking of higher studies in Cybersecurity. Is it a good option considering the current situation?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Tried researching this for hours but only found info on applying to other agencies.

I'm a computer science engineer, working in the Pharmaceutical RWE domain for 2 years.
Even though I like the impact that my job creates, I often find myself wondering if I can actually get to a high position (e.g. CEO, Director of DS dept.) for a pharmaceutical company being from a technical background.

I’m currently a 2nd year associate in commercial finance. I’ve realized I don’t enjoy a a strictly transactional practice. I enjoyed litigation matters as a summer (particularly the adversarial nature). Also, love talking and advising clients. Last night, I got a nastygram from a client who basically wanted to forego due diligence in a major buyout we’re helping him with. “Stop requesting documents and just draft me my docs.” But we literally don’t know who owns what right now, terrible corporate records. I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

My yearly income (post standard deduction+ 1.5 lacs 80c investment) is 650,000. (April 21- march 22).

I will also receive 2,00,000 joining bonus this month end.

Total income: 6.5 lacs + 2 lacs

Question:
1. Will 10% taxes(as per old regime slab) be deducted on 6.5 lacs and flat 30% be deducted on joining bonus?
Or
Only 10% Tax will be deducted on 8.5 lacs(6.5 + 2 lacs jb)?

2. Need suggestion to save tax on the above numbers.
