I am a post-graduate software developer engineer who has been working for the past year at a salary of 20lpa. Well, I'm highly interested in finance; is it a good idea to pursue CFA? Will it help to advance my career? Does the combination of programming and finance truly make sense?

The same jobs open for 2 1/2 yrs reposting salaries after interviewing 100 then cutting the salary by up to $50k They say can’t find people but they fire you in 90 days when your working 80 hours a week or people are walking!

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. Anyone make the transition to an SE role that have some advice?

Can the group members please share their experience about the CFE exam? How many days of preparation does it require? What are some of the useful study resources?

Any thoughts on Sidley's London office? How sharp elbowed are the associates and how much do partners genuinely try and help you develop a career? Bonus points if you can provide insight on how the corporate and finance departments work with specialists on transactional matters.
