Hello, I am in need of some advice. I'm about to complete my 1st year, next month, at a specialist office. I have been a CMA since the end of 2020. At this current office, I have been at the same hourly rate since I started (20) & we see many patients(23avg​) in a day. There's another CMA, but he misses at least 1 day EVERY week & calls out same day. The position requires 2 people. This was not part of the contract. How can I request a raise & how much more can I request? Thanks in advance!

For anyone who receives a quarterly bonus or raise in some form, does your employer start to schedule you for less hours when your raise kicks in, or pull you from a future schedule entirely once you receive a bonus; only to put you back on once the hours you would have worked and earned the amount given are passed? Ie; a part time employee getting $200.00 in a quarterly bonus and then not being scheduled a whole week during a bi-weekly pay period where they would have earned more on the clock…?
