I have been on a job hunt for any marketing jobs since last year, but haven’t had any luck. I have been freelancing but business comes in waves and lately it hasn’t been good.

When I apply to entry or mid level roles I see that 100+ have applied, this job market isn’t helpful to people that are just starting out. I am curious to hear from others in the field. Have you been experiencing this? Any tips or strategies that have worked for you lately? I am all ears and open to any advice.

Art Directors. How protective are you of your references and resources? I have a folder with lot’s of textures, mockups that I’ve spent time building. I even paid for some of those assets. So I always get a lot of compliments on my comps and decks. Sometimes someone ask for my files and I really don’t want to since I put so much effort on that.
