Hello, I interviewed for a Senior Solutions Architect role (L6) at Amazon. After the loop interview, the recruiter informed me that the feedback was positive (incline), but for an L5 position. I agreed to consider L5, but the recruiter stated the team I interviewed with doesn't have L5 openings and they would need to find a different role. Is this a genuine possibility, or is it a polite rejection?

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

A month ago the recruiter said that they are waiting on some approvals and once it is done we will be issuing the offer letter but I haven't heard back any other update since then. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

Amazons excessive interviews are an awful candidate experience. Why do they think this will help them win top talent in this competitive environment? Especially with their public cultural issues…? Lots of great paying companies without having to take a day off from work to interview! It’s overkill

Hi everyone - I made it to the final round of interviews with Amazon for a Program Manager position. They initially asked if I would relocate and at the time I said yes - however, due to my husband’s new job I’m no longer able to relocate.
Has anyone ever negotiated to work remote for Amazon?

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

What does it mean when your application goes from under consideration to application submitted with No HR screening.
