I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

You should definitely ask for more for companies like Goldman Sachs
They seemed to be too rigid. How much should it have been?
Don’t know about salary but the wlb one is true
Market is brutal right now, if you like company just go for it, package you can easily get 60% after this switch
If I were you, considering the situation right now, I’d be accepting the offer after pushing them to the limits. Just don’t over do it. Use it as a stalking horse till the time you join the company. If joined, switch after a year. Many HE still go with the brand name and they’d kill to have someone with the Goldman stamp in the CV
Thank you so much. It’s a 50% hike for me. But the only concern is I feel I should have gotten 27ish. My present role is pretty chill and-relaxing WLB. Hybrid. They have all 5 days WFO but what I’m worrying about is the work culture there, didn’t hear any good about that part.
