Any recs on places to go/things to do for a 30th bday in September? I live in NYC but looking to get out to celebrate. My initial plans included being in Mexico with my boyfriend, family and a few friends but it looks like hurricane season will be in full swing during my trip week so now I’m trying to find alternative plans.

I have been faking and slacking for last 2 years. I am not being pushed and challenged at work. Nobody bothers to follow-up on my work. I take my sweet time to do the bare minimum. It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. I know I’m not alone that people don’t want to return to the office. My ADHD and the open office just makes working from the office a nightmare and I’m feeling really nervous and kind of resentful.

I finally broke down and went back on HRT last week. I have been taking gabapentin for a nerve injury which I’ve learned helps hot flashes. I can’t tell a significant difference yet aside from maybe getting a little better sleep. I saw a new doctor (male) to get my prescription refilled and he seems to have a different philosophy than my last doctor (female). He wants me to be on HRT until 51, but after that he doesn’t recommend it. I hope by that age I’ll be off the gabapentin…
