Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Is this too much to ask or is this what someone at my current level would get paid at PwC. Please let me know!!!! PwC PwC India Pwc AC Deloitte Deloitte USI

I would probably avoid showing him Glassdoor since there’s no real way of telling if the salaries reported there are accurate.
To be candid, if I was your boss and you asked for a comp adjustment with this level of justification, it’d be a major red flag. Not because you’re asking for a raise, but because of how you’re thinking through it.
I should also add that their intent was to hire someone specifically in the west coast as they needed more people in PT time zones. The job ad even said so. My email signature says I work in SF office too, I just report internally to the Texas office.
Also I realize SF and LA aren’t equal in cost of living but they are much more comparable than LA to Texas
Not giving me a raise is really making me want to switch jobs. As I’m searching jobs on LinkedIn, In LA there are small nonprofits advertising higher salaries than mine lol because they are local and understand the cost of living.
Thanks, both your posts are very insightful.
Can you transfer which office you're aligned to?
Their intent was to hire someone forever remote AND that they specifically be on the west coast. The job ad even said so. Also my email signature says I work on the SF office. So on paper and to the clients I do work in SF but I report to the Texas office internally.
