I am working as SDET and I have opportunity to change my domain into Infosec engineer at my current organisation.

I have 2 options , switch to infosec role in current company or switch to other company as sdet


Given current market situation and low demand for qa or automation roles ,I am confused between those 2 options.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

After completing 20 years as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Feds and on the way getting a JD and passing the Bar… trying to transition to an Immigration Attorney position… easier said than done!

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base.
