So I started my career with middle office P&L/IPV stuff. Next I moved to capital markets and then buy side. All these roles were in mid office. Along the way I completed CFA. I thought exciting opp would unlock but put simply, I’ve been trapped in IPV/risk monitoring roles. Now I feel like I should have thought about exit opps when i first started but at that time experience felt more imp. Don’t know what to do with life and I’m feeling depressed. Thanks!

Hi all, I am a structural engineer looking to pivot to management consulting. I have a PhD in civil engineering and am a licensed PE. Currently I am not finding my profession fulfilling due to many barriers for progress. I have a strong statistics background and am looking to switch to a fast paced career in management consulting. Does anyone have any advice on the optimal way to pivot careers? Am I too late to switch? Should I get a career coach?

I was just offered a sales consultant role at a spirit’s distributor 65K with potential to make 75K if I meet goals etc. My dream job @ Red Bull, Similar role but way more fun around the same range of $$ possibly slightly more ..am still waiting to hear if I made it to the final round. I have until Friday to respond and Red Bull said they would let me know IF I made it to the final round by Friday.. should I reach out to Red Bull if I have not heard by Wednesday that I need to make a decision?
