Hey all, some friends and I are considering getting an Airbnb somewhere in the US in late October / Early November to work from home. We’d like to be around somewhere where things are relatively open and there’s a lot of cool nature stuff to do around. Any thoughts?

Think touristy spots in the Rocky Mountains, look at places around Denver, Jackson Hole, WY, or my favorite, Montana. WY and MT have had fairly low cases because there’s so much space.

Arizona isn’t shut down. I think we also have the highest COVID cases though....... but there is still fun stuff to do in the desert

What about somewhere in Maine?

Vail, CO is beautiful this time of year. Plenty of trails, restaurant, bars, hiking, biking, etc..VRBO had some great prices for the area a few weeks ago

New England in fall! Low COVID, great nature and foliage.

Where is your office located? Keep time differences in mind if you are in the east coast and don’t want to have to wake up at 5 am everyday

72k + 7% bonus + WFH permanently

Or

90k hybrid 2-3 days in the office. (20min drive now however I am moving an 1.5 hours away)

They both have their benefits and company match.

The 90k is also a new team so a lot of growth opportunity while the 72k is well established team. If this matters at all.

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Is anyone able to give me the Marriott Family or/and friends discount paper? 🤗

I started full time at an agency mid pandemic so have never once worked in the office. I find myself working 50+ hour weeks even from home. Everyone who says "I can't wait to be back at the office" - are they really serious? To tack on commute time and public transit anxiety, wake up at the crack of dawn. Will working from the office somehow decrease the work load and increase productivity? Genuinely curious who wants to go back and why.

Firm announced flexible come and go as you see fit approach to coming back to office. Partner I work for said I need to be in office 4-5 days a week anyway. Thoughts?

Any specific companies I should look into? (Preferably UK based, but open to most of EU)

Also let me know if any better course/training is available.
