Shoot.. happy to help. I’ve been working remote for 12 years
I see your position. If you’re an employee who is always over achieving and performing, you should be fine. Not sure what’s your role with respect to seniority, but daily calls and showing activity are ways to keep in gauged. When I first started to work from home, I remember always feeling worried. You will be kept in the shadows and you’ll be the last one yo find out about things that occurred or changes. If within your department there are others who also work remote, then you should be fine.
Feel free to post the questions in a comment so the community can answer
Sure you can DM me :)
Been fully remote for 5 years, what kind of questions do you have?
Run a remote-native consulting firm; has been 100% remote from inception in 2015. Focused on strategy and ops for early to mid-stage businesses. AMA
Question for all of the above. How do you feel it's impacted your networking? A big part of promos, especially in my industry is senior leader buy in. Not just from your own org, but other orgs to vouch for you too. I love wfh, but struggle to balance it with the old coffee walks
I work remote. Feel free to DM me.
I’ve worked fully remote for startups for the past 3 years and have been remote based for more than 10 years in total. In terms of growth and career opportunities, look for a remote first company. I struggled with the perception that remote employees don’t work as hard in the bad old days at a company where most employees were 100% on-site.
You can ask me. Work with 2 startups remotely.
Anyone hiring?
I’ve got a few roles that fit this description over at big4transparency.com/jobs
I went from Chase to a fully remote start-up. I definitely prefer the smaller company environment. My home isn’t very conducive to working from there full time so I’m renting an office space in town. Really enjoying it so far…
just made the switch to remote at a new startup. Happy to answer anything
