I am trying for a switch right now and have been asked to share my "PanCard and Selfie Photo with Pan card" by the recruiters before even scheduling any interviews. This has happened quite a few times in last week.

I want to know is it a common practice or is it some new scam??

Almost a week with On-site interview and it’s been a radio silence from my recruiter. Should I reach back to them or is it normal? Not at all impatient, just trying to know what’s the norm.

Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?

Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm.
