Have you tried speaking to your local sales reps and local labs. I have heard from our schein rep that they are dying to have DAs train as lab techs
What area is this If I may ask ? I’m currently in the Tampa Area/Orlando area
What state are you in?
Florida
Great! I also live in Florida. Area of Fort Myers and Estero. There’s no such a thing as starting from scratch. You have the solid dental knowledge, just need a good place to land in. I am also a former dental assistant with expanded functions, and understand what you are going through. As a personal choice, I ended up in the operations-administration role, happy with that! It depends on the office and location you are in. Try to reach out to independent Labs in your area.
(Had to split my answers) 😊
Some, are willing to take you in a heartbeat. Work on your tech-manual skills within your own dental office and show them what you are capable of. Remember, some offices don’t have the vision you have, and in the long run, this is your dream not theirs, protect it and shine at your best! Follow your instincts…it never fails!!!
Wish you the best to find your right path!
I appreciate these words of Encouragement, Truly motivates me to keep going , all I need it’s to just keep searching Thank you for taking your time to write these messages they were very helpful
Just call the labs in your area and work ur way up
