McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Sounds like you have the perfect background. Feel free to ask any other specific questions you have, but generally prep would be identical to a generalist role. Practice cases and get good at structuring problems. Have a few good stories prepared for the Personal Experience portion. WLB varies depending on the project you do. You have flexibility just like generalists. You might do a 4 week strategy project in the private equity space working 80 hours per week. You might then do a 6 month operational transformation and work 55 hours per week.
Sounds good. This is very helpful.
During my call with the recruiter, should i talk about a specific role? Such as Associate-Imp (General) vs Associate Imp (Manufacturing).
Also, is compensation discussed during recruiter phone call?

It wouldn't hurt to express certain interests and ask questions, but honestly those two roles will be virtually identical.
As for compensation it's the standard post-MBA Associate offer of $165k base plus up to $35k bonus.
