Hey folks - the topic is: “good office chair.” I have seen many posts on the topic, and gearing towards Herman Miller. Does anyone have experience comparing the Aeron and Embody? Ergo is almost 60% higher price, so I’m unsure of the value add. Thanks in advance!

Same. Have had it for a year and no complaints!

Autonomous is equally good and much affordable. Just my two cents.

+ 1 autonomous standing desk

I’ve considered both. The Embody forces you into a better posture, I found that it pressed me against the shoulders a bit. It’s probably a better office chair for ergonomics, but I went with the Aeron because I’m used to it, it feels like a recliner when you want, and I like the mesh in the summer as I don’t have AC. You can have both for the same price, contact your local wholesaler (Business Interior? I forget the name. There’s another one near Yorkdale)

Is there a wholesaler you know?

Aeron if you are familiar with it from your office and are ok with how it forces you in correct posture (ie cross legged not possible with seat design etc) and confident re size you need and/or want to add a headrest. Embody if all above does not apply. Can't compare with Steelcase directly, but unless you are getting a good discount (>40%) on it, just buy one of Herman Millers via RFD group buy.

Redflagdeals forum. Make the account, you'll see Group Buy section when logged in. Find Herman Miller threads there.

The chairs used in the BAE office. https://store.steelcase.com/seating/office-chairs/gesture

Well that is the link the folks off service now sent me to buy the BAE chairs. I created a SNOW ticket asking if we can buy office furniture for any offices being closed.

Eames padded management is nice and comfy.

I purchased a very comfortable chair from Costco.

I’m really considering moving back to my country even though I’m preparing to propose to my girlfriend. Life has an interesting sense of humor.
