Hey guys. I’m the event planner for CLSA at my law school and was wondering if anybody is willing to be on a panel regarding ethics during the coronavirus regarding the way confidential information is sent and received, how you guys use zoom for depositions or any ethical challenges you’ve come across during this time. Thank you!

I do a ton of Zoom depositions, arbitrations, and even finished a jury trial over Zoom. I’d be happy to speak on that topic.

I recently did a webcast for NITA. You can watch it for free on NITA’s website. It’s called “Lessons from a Zoom Jury Trial.”

What is CLSA? Is this panel in person or via zoom?

Caribbean Law Students Association. It would be by zoom

Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.

Hi lady fish,

I’ve been with Accenture for 10 years and am about to take maternal leave. I got an interesting conversation with HR yesterday about leaving Accenture after maternal leave, and the kicker is to join the client. I got a couple of questions for you guys:

One...did anyone leave Accenture right after maternal leave? If so, what happened? Did they have to pay back anything?

Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. I’ve since been focused on a Patent Attorney track and am with a firm that will support me taking the patent bar/law school. If I get through processing and go to the CIA for some time, do you think would I be accepted back into patent law later on?
