Do recruiters ever reply to any of these threads
Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

LinkedIn is a network and relationship building platform first and foremost. If you connect and cultivate relationships with quality recruiters as part of your network, then it should benefit you in the long run. I made it to the final round of interviews via one recruiter i connected with via LinkedIn, but didnt get the role. A few years later she had taken a recruiting role at a different, larger organization that had tons of new roles and was hiring a lot. She remembered me, had me in her talent files - reached out, I was looking, got the job. So I would take the longer view with it, as one tool in your overall career toolkit.
This!!! 100%. People sometimes forget that recruiters jump around as much as creatives, there’s no telling where someone might end up. Make all the connections you can.
I have an interview from one today... Wish me luck!
I have gotten interviews but never quite landed a job. Same with replying to those mass LinkedIn recruiter InMails, gotten an offer from one before. There’s really no way of knowing if it might stick but, no harm trying anyway I guess.
I have, but it feels like 1 in 100 odds
Actually yes. My current job was from applying randomly on LinkedIn. It worked out.
In 2 years of applying to every CD job on LinkedIn I’ve gotten maybe 6 interviews but no work. However, I’ve gotten double that from recruiters finding me.
I have! Did a linkedin easy apply and was hired at my previous agency.
I’ve now gained employment from two media agencies by using LinkedIn Easy Apply. Definitely not an advocate for using this as your sole approach (99% yielded nothing), but sometimes the black hole does lead to something.
Never. Just rejections.
It depends on the company.
Some places post on LinkedIn so they can say they have non-discriminatory hiring practices, even though they have every intention with filling the open FTE role a different way. My current company (on-house) uses LinkedIn, but the recruiters are a little lost when it comes to finding/evaluating creative talent, and there hasn’t been anyone they’ve sent our way via LinkedIn we’ve wanted to interview.
Personally, I’ve gotten one interview via LinkedIn in years of trying, but it’s because the resume scanners picked up a prior agency I freelanced for.
All my jobs have come from LinkedIn and Indeed
I got my last job after applying on LinkedIn and I’ve gotten more interview than I would have expected out of it too.
Chief
I’ve gotten interviews but never a job.
Jobs usually come from recruiters finding me
Nope. Most of my jobs come from people reaching out to me, me reaching out to them, and maybe a couple recruiters.
I’ve gotten some interviews.
