They should showcase that they successfully built and managed communities in the past. It's quite helpful if they are also members of groups of community managers. Hope this helps.

Education, certifications, additional skills, the number of years you have spent in your profession.

Certification, portfolio, people skills, how they would handle hypothetical situations

You should take a deep dive into the communities they have built. That way you can see their community management style

One of the qualities that can really assist a community manager stay competitive is having superior organizing abilities. Just how many different tasks are there? We community managers have a lot on our plates, from scheduling posts to responding to community members, managing reporting to organizing media files.

Loyalty and passion. Although though they are two distinct ideas, in community management, they work best when combined. We must have a strong sense of commitment to our work because we are the guardians of our businesses' narrative initiatives.

a tremendous amount of patience. A large portion of our work involves communicating online with people who frequently benefit from anonymity. This means we are responsible for handling it because they are not always acting appropriately.

Business acumen plays a significant role in a lot of the activities that the most effective community managers perform. Effective community managers have strong negotiating skills as well as at least a working knowledge of company development and public relations.

Clear forward-thinking and vision. In a world that is catering to attention spans that are getting shorter and shorter, we need to be on the pulse. It is our responsibility to foster dialogue inside our communities and contribute to laying solid community pillars.

Certifications should be given height as well. You can ask them for their accomplishments.
