Hi there...I’m trying to gauge salary ranges at Slalom in Atlanta. Is ATL considered a Tier 1 market? I’m currently a Manager at Deloitte with 9 years of consulting experience. I’ve spoken to several recruiters and a few firm members, but on a pause due to covid. Would also appreciate any insight on how they ID external candidates for Solution Principal over Principal Consultant.
Would it make sense to move from Apple to Facebook with the same compensation for a SWE role? Are there any added benefits or should I just put in more time with Apple?
I’ve heard that after $170k ish base (in industry) its all about your bonus. You don’t really get positions offering $200k+ base unless your C level or own a P&L. True?

Need advice: Moved for a job, relocation covered, signing bonus, etc. But, after a couple months, I am pretty sure I won’t last more than a year. Shitty to leave at the one year mark?
I got invited to interview for a Technical Program Manager role at AWS. Does anyone have any insights to share on the types of technical questions they would ask?
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.

Would it better serve employee interests (fairness POV) for there to be complete salary transparency across the board? Or do you think the current system works and shouldn't be changed? - Thoughts?

Examples of industry role names for exiting digital strategist? (UX experience, digital transformations, product and pricing strategy) not not a ton of tech experience, more customer/strategy centric
I always thought it was strange that agencies rarely let candidates know the client until they are towards the end of the process. My position has way more job security than others simply because I work for a CPG client. Those in the same role on other accounts (e.g. airlines, hotels, fitness) have been furloughed or even laid off just because of the nature of the industry their client is in. Do we think agencies will have to be more transparent and let candidates ultimately chose the client?
Crazy client... just came to my desk and yelled ... insulted me ... said this is basic shit that a entry level person can do. Any advice ???
On the fence about MBA, would like to hear other perspectives. I'm 30 & M2. I have my Bachelor's n Masters in CS. Aspiration is to reach C-level in a mid size company by early 40s. Does MBA route help accelerate my journey? Is it a good idea to invest big $$$ in MBA? What other considerations should I take into account? Thank you.

What's your retire-now $ "number" - taking into account age, current savings/net worth, and expected future in and outgoing cash flows?
Are consulting firms (non-tech) still hiring H1B holders? I applied to strategy& at pwc through a referral link and my rejection letter came in under 12 hours. It’s so quick that I can’t tell if it’s cuz of my qualifications or because of my visa status.
I interviewed for a finance director position this week with just the CFO. It went really well. They asked how I viewed the fact that I'm 32 and the controller is 30, to which I didn't ask a "good" answer because to me age doesn't matter; I had older people on my teams and it was never an issue. I suspect that the topic might pop up again during the 2nd interview with HR. How do I approach it? TYIA
