So, i put in my resignation and my manager calls me up. He says that he hired me during a bad time, i.e. during COVID pandemic last year, but it feels to him that when I felt convenient i am packing my bags and leaving. I have my thoughts to it, but do you also feel that I am leaving when it's convinient for me?!

For context: I spent 6 years in my previous organization and then joined current company where I've worked over 1.5 years with barely any learnings and any actual work.

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

What do you think about the outlook for AM / HF jobs in the future? Will they continue to be there, or will they be slowly canceled by passive investing? Thinking about going into IM post MBA, but this thought is holding me down

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.

They asked for salary slip and offer letter to decide on the numbers. But my current pay scale isn't as per the industry standards and they are asking me to move to bangalore. If they give me a hike based on my current salary it would be next to impossible to move to bangalore. How do I put forward my points to them to try and convince them to pay me as per industry standards?
