I have some collections on my credit report. One from an electric company for $800 (imo they violated terms of contract and sent me to collections in spite of their fuck up), and an apartment for $80~ that charged me a cleaning fee when my apartment was spotless.

Despite these two collections have a 712-720 credit score.

So mortgage lenders care at all about the collections or is it mostly the credit score that matters?

I wish I wasn’t adaptable. Humans aspire for a greater level of comfort and once achieved, adopt that as their new baseline. Because of this, somebody making $100k cannot simply comfortably revert back to a $50k lifestyle. The slow growth of personal wealth isn’t noticed as ideated. Instead, we are never satisfied.

For the past 2-3 years, I have obsessively tracked my net worth/income trends/investment performance over time. I checked my trends just now, and OMG I hit the 300k net worth mark right around Christmas. I guess I haven’t looked at my dashboard for a month. This feels so cool. I want to shout it from the roof! Amazons excessive interviews are an awful candidate experience. Why do they think this will help them win top talent in this competitive environment? Especially with their public cultural issues…? Lots of great paying companies without having to take a day off from work to interview! It’s overkill
