Hi all,
I'm looking to relocate to the United States very soon. My background is in medicine (unlicensed),
clinical research, and holds a geriatrics certification.
Which states in the USA offer the most opportunities for employment and what kinds of job should I pursue?

Northeast. Try to get into clinical research or do a master/research fellowship and then try to get to industry or academia. Competition is fierce, US MDs are fleeing clinical practice so that creates a lot of competition in non traditional areas, however may prompt states to allow IMGs an easier path in the future for medical licensure… physician shortage is real and will get worse unless they do something!

I need advice. I moved into product management under a year ago to an early stage startup. The first few months went well, but the last 5 have been chaotic. It feels like we’re becoming more sales led, there are too many pivots (I expected some) our roadmap is becoming influenced by sales/ceo. Essentially, we’re trying to do much. It’s happening so much I’m starting to lose confidence in the company/strategy. It’s also causing me anxiety…

Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.

5+ years of full-time job as developer and still waiting to reverse a LinkedList at work.

Since there is a heavy impetus on solving Tree, LinkedList, and Graph problems for tech interviews, it can naturally make freshers believe that these concepts will be used in day-to-day life at work. In reality, most of these DSA concepts are already implemented in some libraries our code uses and we rarely have to code such Algorithms by hand.

Additional Posts in Clinical Research

Hi all! I recently finished my Masters in Biology. I worked on a few studies with human subjects as well as animal work. I am hoping to get a job in clinical research as either a CRC or CRA. I previously worked at a doctors office as a care manager for 4 years, but outside of my academic work I don’t have experience in research. What advice do you all have for entering the field in my position?
Thanks!!

What is the correct path to obtain entry level positions in clinical research. My background is in health sciences and work experience has been 3 years as a clinical lab scientist. Hey all! I have recently moved to a full time position wfh as a trial manager. It has been a struggle wfh so I am reconsidering my options. What positions are out there possible for transition for on site, except CRA?

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

Anyone have good CRA interview tips ? Entry level with Stryker. Appreciate it

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!
