Hi all. My 6mo rvw is approaching in <2mo. I am aware I will receive a performance-based raise, but not sure how much. My student loan payments kick back in shortly after and I could use some advice on how to ensure that raise accommodates as much of my new debt as possible. I have over 6 years of various office and FOH experience, but no degree. I often receive praise from coworkers and intend on revising my SOP to record every one of my tasks in my current position to cover my basis. Thoughts?

VOO. I predominantly use Schwab’s robo advisor and have consistently been 8% below S&P 500. (1) based on the historical performance of VOO, am I better off shifting all of my retirement and brokerage accounts to VOO? (2) how do I do that? How should I go about this? Liquidate all my robo advisors and then buy VOO? Hope you all don’t roast me too hard!

I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I only bring in a little over $2,600 a month. After paying all my expenses, I get to put away $500 a month in savings but don’t have much wiggle room for anything else, including going out money.

I’m very privileged to have a significant inheritance and zero debt of any kind. I really wonder how my peers who have student loans, car payments, and even children manage to pay their bills and live so comfortably. Please share if this is you!
