My elder brother (2 year elder) and jobless from 8 years (don't want to do anything just sleep all day - he is also a software engineer).

I have to take care of his everything thing which includes his health insurance, his clothes, his daily foods, and other basic things. If i don't do then my mother is getting angry. Also, he Don't respect me and bad mouth about me with our relatives that i am not doing anything for him.

I have 9+ years of experience. Now I am stuck at 20LPA CTC. Not getting much interview calls as mostly requirements come for cheap resources having less than 7-8 YOE. I had a technical discussion for HCL on 3rd Oct. It's been more than a week. I still haven't received a status on that interview. I have also received a "Resume shortlisted" mail from their careers app after a week.
Does it mean I'm selected? There's no intimation of the status at all. The HR don't reply on mails/calls.
Can anybody advise on this if they been through the same.

Once upon a time, I hardly saw/heard of any dot net guys, so thought Java developers will always be on safer side.
Now everywhere I see only dot net guys.
