we have a colleague who just transitioned who lives in Europe, They have a business trip planned to come to the USA.
their documents has not yet been updated with their gender and we are concerned that they may have issues at the border.
do you know of anyone who had issues? does anyone has any resources or recommendation?

Is it just me or does it seem like teams with high diversity function the best and have the most creative work? Whenever I've worked with ie POC and fellow gay people, the work has always been stellar

My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? I don’t want to seem disingenuous or that we are singling out our diverse employees (asking for photos). We have a remote and on-site workforce about 350+ EEs. Non white EEs make up about 35% of the company rn.

Hi everyone, I work for large startup (300 employees) and I have been asked to develop a Progressive HR manual template. Some examples include gender neutral restrooms, lactation rooms, signing off emails with pronouns, and etc. Any tips/links for resources to help would be appreciated.

We are starting to really address diversify and inclusion and build partnerships with community resources.

What do you feel is important in building out DEI program?

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

Has anyone ever been in a mostly platonic relationship? I don’t like to label myself much, but I don’t really like intimacy and don’t really like romance. Some people would say I’m asexual/aromantic, but unless that too is a spectrum, I don’t think I fit squarely into that group. As I get older, I’m realizing I’m feeling very lonely. It would be nice to find someone, but have it be platonic (any gender/sex). It’s weird, I know. It’s hard to articulate as well. Can anyone relate? 😭😭

I have often wondered if being honest when I fill out EEOC / diversity forms if that limits me from new work / promotions. I used to be able to hide my disability, but it is progressive so now it's not as easy to hide. Thoughts?

Someone on LinkedIn expressed disappointment about the lack of diversity from the big law firms in TX that were posting pics of their summer associates. A managing partner commented that he thought the post might be about a pic he posted (12/14 SAs were white). He tried to defend this by saying that they had LGBT and socioeconomic diversity. The fact that he recognized that his pic might be part of the problem says it all. Law firms need to do better. Sorry, I just wanted to rant.

I got an offer from a different vendor to join morgan stanley. I leveraged to offer to directly join morgan stanley. Will this cause an issue? Can the vendor complain about me? I have not joined the vendor. I had only given interview with morgan for 2 different profiles.

I am joining Deloitte soon, before putting down my notice with my current employer the background investigation team informed me that except the current employer all elements are completed and finalized. The Current employer verification will be done before the week of the start date. Almost midnight here and I'm cleaning my medicine cabinet so I can reboot having a regular skin-care routine. I'm listening to one of my favorite musicals, "Ragtime", specifically the song "He Wanted to Say". Living 9 time zones away from home out of the US and watching the BLM movement there, unable to do anything concrete about it from here - this song I've listened to countless times, today about brought me to tears.
