Managing partner of a Midwestern family law firm. Four lawyers and three staff. We have been a 100% remote and electronic practice since March. I have worked as customer service advisor in TCS for over 3 years. My last ctc in TCS was 240000rs pa but in BT the HR has sent me an offer letter of 250000 cts. The HR said that they are giving 30% hike on the top of my basic salary which is 120000 in tcs. But the BT offer letter shows a basic salary of 112000. What should I do? BT British Telecom

Hi everyone! Letting you know fishbowl helped me get a job with one of the biggest software companies! I finally got into the SaaS industry which has been my goal for a year now. Just started this week :) :).

My manager, who also happens to be the COO of the startup that hired me a month ago has advised me to enunciate clearer & “iron out any accent issues”. I have a clear accent and sound nothing like Apu from the Simpsons. None of my clients nor colleagues have any trouble understanding me.
I’m an Indian expat who moved to the UK and I’m the 3rd person of Color (first expat) who works here. We have about 150 employees based across UK (HQ) and the US.
Wondering how I should take this.

I have been with my current company for the last 14 years. Straight commission position. Since 2013 hey have been trying to rebuild this store. Since working for them we’ve gone through 3 CFO’s and I am on my third BM who will being leaving the company only after a year. There is a new Area leader which is causing bad karma among the team. Strong arm tactics and now we are losing good people again. Ideas on how to deal with this very uncomfortable situation. Stuck between a rock and hard place.
