I joined Tiger Analytics with CTC of 9lpa. When I check in greythr IT statement, it shows 7.14lpa.
In the CTC payslip, it shows 75k per month as my salary. But this month I got 61k.
I understand they deduct tax, but I feel it is too much. IDK where I'm losing the money. Can someone tell if this is normal. I'm a fresher so, IDK much about it.
Also, what can I do to pay less taxes? Any help on that?

Yes they do. THey do background checks for all of their roles I do believe.

You’ll have access to a lot of privileged information and they won’t want a desperate person doing something nefarious.

It's pretty safe to assume they will. Now you will have to sign off on a form giving them permission to run your credit, so you'll know.
In my experience this is always one of the last steps of the interview/offer process - firms don't want to pay for this or drug testing unless you are a top candidate.
That being said you can pull your own report for free, so then you know what's there, and have an opportunity to correct any errors. My understanding is it's just a history not a credit score number, so a bit different than applying for a car loan.
