Hi everyone! I’m planning to start studying December 1st for the CPA exam and am considering using Becker. For those who have used it, how was your experience? Did it help you pass? What did you like or dislike about it? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
In another hand do you have any other suggestions other than Becker?

Becker is great but honestly skip all the lectures unless you absolutely need them. What I did was just go with MCQs straight from the start and guess at first. Go back and understand each question, most importantly why you got it wrong. Continue doing MCQs for every section. I did 2,000-3,000 MCQs before each section and passed all first try. The most important thing is understanding WHY you got an MCQ wrong

The concept of guessing first on the MCQs and learning the answers through trial and error is an underrated study tactic that has always worked for me. I second what BT1 has said. if you have the time, I'd recommend watching the lectures too but if you have to prioritize one, MCQs for sure

like

I will suggest form a study group.

Was almost 14 years ago but it helped me for sure! There are a lot of options depending on the type of learner you are. I did the live course, rewatched the lectures, did the sample tests a couple of times each and I passed all parts on my first try. Needless to say my cohort at the time were using other review programs and I was the only one who passed on the first shot. I recommend Becker to every CPA candidate I speak to! Pricey but worth it.

I am right there with everyone in the thread, I think it is definitely worth it and very helpful.

I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up?
