New wage code...what is in it for us?
Hi guys, I’ve a query so I’m already in discussion with Deloitte India and got a call from Deloitte USI. So if I would’ve to choose btw these two given the salary and designation offered is almost same. Which one should I prefer India or USI?
Can Deloitte folks guide me what are the pros and cons working with either entities. Thanks!

-Equity potential via profit share units, which would only be granted after a few years and at time of sale
Questions:
- What salary would you be looking for initially?
- What is a reasonable equity target? Very low single digits has been floated to me
- Would you expect some level of profit share incentive?
- Any suggestions for how to negotiate?
Thanks in advance
Would be hunting for $500k total comp, but more importantly the potential for Partner equity.
80 hrs for 350k at 10 yrs in the business doesn't seem good to me. Like there's nothing wrong with it, people work harder for more, but I wouldn't say it's a "good deal". There needs to be more variable upside than the salary bump. You want significant upside if it all goes well. Like 50-100% bonus type situation
Here's an unsolicited life tip: never negotiate against yourself. If you ain't making 350k yet, it's not enough. And after that, it's also not enough. That's the world we live in. Strive for more. If you think making 200k is 'fair', they're gonna pay the next guy more. Also, you need to realize how much money some of these businesses and people are making. If it's raining, you want to be collecting the water, not looking through the window.
