Hi everyone! Not a CPA question (apologies!), but how do you study for EA exams? I have the Surgent textbook (not videos; firm doesn’t cover it) but I feel like I spend too much time taking notes, which I think is necessary to remember the content. Any advice or tips to pass the exams? Thank you all!

I think you can find a lot of resources if you google potentially, but I do think notes do help you the first round and then you can do practice runs to help you figure out areas which aren't working

Thank you! I appreciate the advice!

Everyone has their own effective study habit. You just have to find out what's the best way for you to retain what you have read and what you have learned during your study sessions. Focus on areas you have ddifficulty with.

Thank you, and definitely agree with that!

Hello Fishes, Can someone confirm what should be the grade and designation in HCL for around 17 years of experience?

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I did that for almost 2 years before making the switch. I miss sales, though. Does anyone have any connections to companies looking? I have also considered a sales analyst role considering that I am moderately versed in Salesforce and have worked both the customer facing and sales generating side. TIA!

Can anybody please tell me What is the hierarchy level in eli lilly. Recently Received an offer for Associate consultant position

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. I’m torn because the opportunity is great but the stress was awful. Continued in comments…

Hi Fishes,
Need advice.
I am currently working at a prod based company as a QA Engineer in a maintenance project. I joined 7 months back. They offerred me an SDET+DevOps role. And all this while I was mostly working on manual. There is no scope and value to automation in this project.

I have an offer from a service based company with 25% hike from my current ctc. They have offered a API automation project.

Is it wise to leave now or should I wait for an year?

California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first?
