Which beach to visit?
Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

I don’t know even know what I’m good at anymore.
I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?
Can someone refer me to CITI ?

I find I am pidgeon holed at the corporate environment I am in right now as tend to do more specialised work. My department feels like the place careers go to die.... In a small start up I did just about everything to do with application development from deployment to change management, apart from coding , training you name it. That was my experience anyway for what it's worth...
Thanks for sharing! Yeah I heard a lot of people working in the corporate world feel like they’re not making an impact.
This feeling of stagnation is also worsen by the fact that I’m not particularly motivated by the industry I’m in.
Do you guys feel you are learning and growing personally more in a corporate environment where there’s a lot more support and resources? How was your experience in a corporate environment vs in a startup? Thanks for your time!
Honestly, and maybe I'm just lucky, I have such a balanced work culture that I often have nothing to do (i'm in corporate). I try to spend that time learning more about software/tools that we have access to and there's always someone available to provide guidance and help me learn. I've vastly improved my skillset in the past year while also networking beyond my team. As long as we get projects completed by their deadlines, we're encouraged (if we want to that is, nobody cares if we choose to just chill instead) to work on separate projects for the sole sake of personal development/learning. So, recently, as startup recruiters reach out to me for opportunities, I'm not really incentivised to pursue them. So in short...you can definitely grow in corporate jobs, just need to really research the company culture.
I grew faster when I was in smaller companies. In a big company, you're a cog in a big machine, and you end up much more pigeonholed into your role. A lot of corporations say they will develop you, but unless you're on management track, it's just a new skill here or there.
