You're definitely not going to get anywhere near $100K at BCG without having put in 20 years there, and they've been actively pushing out the more tenured/expensive staff to hire younger/cheaper talent. Agree on the insurance, especially if you have a family - no premiums, $5 copay for pretty much everything is a crazy sweet deal. I left BCG not that long ago after several years there, and I can say that the way non-consulting staff is treated has gone way downhill from what it used to be. I don't regret my time there at all, but I no longer recommend it to friends as a good place to work.
It’s probably not that big of a difference. Plus EA comp is a huge black hole in general. At BCG it ranges from 65-100k for EA’s, but the only people getting close to that top number have been here for 20 plus years most likely. Most here are closer to 65-75 before bonus and OT. not sure about Bain and McK, but we also get 10% profit sharing, and have no insurance premium, so that’s all factored in.
EY central region EA’s make 40,000- 65,000 .
I will also say there are a ton of benefits and perks. 60 a month Phone bill allowance, 500 yearly health/ fitness equipment reimbursement. Pension and 401k matching . A very generous vacation /pto policy. There are several other Benefits and perks that add up to nice total compensation. I LOVE my job , I feel valued and well compensated .
Would love for anyone from McK or Bain to chime in, really interested in how BCG compares.
Thank you EY1! When you say central region, assuming you mean mid western region?? Please correct me if I am wrong! Thank you again for your input.
I’m in KY , but I believe the salary range is the same for most of the NEAT team centers. We are centers of virtual EA’s. We have locations in the west, NOLA, KY, VA
