I have 5+ years of experience being a personal assistant to a multi-business owner and I am looking to transition into a new remote setting. So I’ve been with a court for a while and honestly the pay sucks compared to what paralegals should be making… the benefits are great though and they match my retirement 100% now that I’m vested at 3 years.I have 4 kids and 1 is getting ready for college. I feel like the benefits are great but I’d rather make more now. I am a previous LEO for 4 years who switched to paralegal so I have my leo retirement. Paralegals here make $28 with no benefits what is a good compromise

I am leaving retail pharmacy after 15 years. I am opening a 403b pharmacy for a FQHC. I don't believe that retail pharmacy will be able to sustain itself with patient costs skyrocketing. I think people will become enraged or indifferent enough to allow the federal government to take over healthcare. How many times do we see people getting free prescriptions via government coverage that drive better cars than we do?

I work as the only associate on deals for one “smaller” (still by no means small) client that intentionally doesn’t invite me to calls or tells me before hand to not join so they don’t have to pay for two lawyers. The partner expects me to handle most of the issues discussed on the calls on my own, but the client doesn’t want me on them. Anyone dealt with this?

When I am looking at an email attachment in Outlook it shows the Google Chrome logo but when I open, it opens in Adobe which is what I want. Even though it is opening an Adobe, my boss would like it to show the Adobe icon instead of chrome next to the attachment… anyone know how to do this ?

manager assistants are 100 percent remote while executive assistant roles are expected to be mapped to a local office. MAs support six senior managers or associate partners while EAs support 3 partners. MAs should have 1-3 years experience to apply and EAs should have 3-5 or more.

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?

EAs who manage people / have direct reports -- did your title change when you took on people management? What is your official title now?

(Context - trying to decide what title to recommend for EAs in our org who now manage people. Currently, we have multiple levels, but all EAs have the "Executive Assistant" title regardless of seniority / level / manager status.)

Does anyone have a preferred car service company? I am looking for a service that can consistently provide traveler alerts such as when car has arrived, passenger is on board, trip competed, etc. across US cities. I have found a company that will do this when I book travel in NYC, but when my Professionals arrive in their destination cities the affiliates do not offer this same feature. Any suggestions? Starting a new fully remote role Monday with a leader that has never had their own admin, let alone an exec assistant. Any suggestions for developing the relationship or training them to properly use an exec assistant?
