I am confused, if to go for data engineering or data analyst.
I am a mechanical engineer (Spent 4 years in core mechanical industry), last 2 years worked with python and SQL. I majorly worked with web crawling, data preparation.
I used mostly pandas, re, os, colorama, selenium packages in python and DML commands in SQL.
I also know AWS basics.
Can someone please suggest me how to go ahead.

I’m asked for work samples from recruiters and CDs even though I make clear that what I’ve done doesn’t reflect who I am as a creative. Think CRM/DM/B2B stuff. They insist on it, and I never hear back afterwards.

Not sure what to do. Almost feel like I’d be better off erasing my agency experience.

Is starting your own side business seen as a good extracurricular for MBA applications?

Incoming AC at Bain, previously was deciding between Bain and McKinsey. But, ultimately chose Bain for the culture despite McKinsey being aligned with my professional goals of working in the government. I was looking on LinkedIn and didn’t find many people who are working in the White House after Bain, but found countless examples for McKinsey. Would it be difficult to try to transition to working in government after a few years at Bain? Any thoughts?

I am looking for a career transition from a civil engineering( work ex. 3+ ) to Business and data analytics, can anyone advise me with dos & don'ts.

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.

Are people feeling MORE or LESS *burnt out* with the recent transitions to more in-person learning? (if you are in transition-again!)

If I take extended sick leave, i.e. 3 months, do future employers look at this? I want to take a break from ACN because of burnout, but dont want it to be an issue if I change roles in the next year or so?
