I have been with TCS for 16+ years now. Currently Iam serving notice. The higher offered packed is not very great but still is 80% hike and is from Publicis Sapient .
TCS is trying to retain me and giving slightly less package but also offering CON promotion with which it will almost equal the offer. It's really confusing now. Is Publicis Sapient a better option or continuing with Tata Consultancy ?

At 16+ i agree 30 is less as per present market value but moving from TCS to PS could be a lil difficult move for you considering both companies work on a very different work culture and processes. I would suggest if you have good tech stack go for other offers else as others have suggested get hike stay in tcs for sometime and then look for other offers on your increased pay

In PS what designation they have provided you Manager with 10% variable included within 30 or SAT L2 with 5% variable included within 30. For any case having 16 years experience you should be atleast getting Sr Manager Technology in PS with atleast 45LPA+, so continue in TCS and in a year try to switch for 45-50 lpa range and ask TCS to match and get promoted to Senior Consultant/ Principal Consultant.
Sapient had opening as Manager and offered that. As per the recruiter too.. I was eligible for senior manager and said can get promoted to it but that would happen only after 2 years. What is the average annual hike in PS? One fact is that I know if TCS does special revision now, somehow it will be averaged out in annual compensation. It was 5.5% for me with A band ( highest band)

I think the wise decision would be to stay in TCS and take CON promotion and hike. There is no match between TCS vs Sapient interns of WLB, job security and peace of mind ratio.
