Hi fishes. Need some advice. I told my manager that I will be resigning soon so that they can find a replacement. I am awaiting the offer letter right now. They have asked me to start the resignation process anyways but I am worried that If I don't get the offer letter then I might be out of a job. Also I want to wait to get appraisal letter before resigning so that I can negotiate a higher base with other companies. What should I do?

There budget was upto 10 when i asked but feels like they playing me for my desperation to start working.
