I've an offer for Manager position, Powai. YOE : 5.8 years CTC : 20LPA ( including bonus) How's the work culture, perks, or people? In my current organisation, I've faced many discrimination issues related to work visibility, rewards, etc. Current designation - Consultant Is this worth staying for or should I be exploring other opportunities too providing I will hardly get a manager position somewhere else. The most interesting lesson you learns during covid?

We Indians are so poor we can't think anything else except money. Whole Fishbowl is all about YOe and Salary. No one interested about if any company doing any innovation or not. B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.

Hi. I have stayed in same service based company for 4.5years and my current package after appraisal is 18LPA. I want to switch to a product based company as i am feeling stuck here. I stayed here for so long because of work life balance and a lot of dependency was created on me. Any suggestions? Am I in trouble for staying here for so long? I couldn't switch in the middle because of some family issues and money problems

Can we do something if we are stuck in a situation where you have to wait 17 months for your first variable pay and 20 months for a first hike if we joined the organisation just after its appraisal cycle.
Note: wasn't aware about this at the time of joining

People are layed off.
Other companies are on a hiring freeze.
So where are those people going?
Did we did a mistake by choosing tech as a career.
Cause I never heard consulting,finance or people in administration getting layed off like this.
