Excited since this is a hop from a Product Analyst role and entails an offer of over $30,000 from what I'm getting now! This would be a permanent full-time compared to my current contractor role that ends in March.

If your role is being closed/being laid off (not due to performance issues) just firm downsizing, do you tell the companies you are interviewing? How to phrase it?

Hey folks, need some help. I cleared all my interview rounds and had completed the documentation too. However for more than two weeks the status on the portal is "offer initiated". The HR says the delay is happening because the people who need to approve are on leave. Are they playing around or keeping on hold? Do they actually release offer after this much delay? Please share if you know anything about it.

I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not. However, I am very, very interested in transitioning to this practice. And I reaaally want this job because it’s at my dream firm. How would you recommend preparing for the lateral interview?

HR provided the feedback as I am not rejected bit not fit for the role so they have put me in talent plus pool. What should I expect next and does this mean that I may get the offer ?

I’m looking to leave my firm and expect to have some interviews coming up. How should I handle with my current firm as far as notifying that I will be taking a morning or afternoon off? We are fully in-office and I don’t know how many doctor’s appointments are reasonable.

Joined in Oct for SAP functional. Now one manager who interviewed me reached out that there is a training material developer project which will start on 20 nov for Oracle timeline is 2 months only and SAP projects are in pipeline there was one coming but no guarantee if its final and if it has to come it will be in this month because in dec new projects do not onboard. I have worked on oracle in the past but now am fully into SAP. Should I take this project or wait until Jan for SAP project?

Foreign LLM student here. I plan to take the NY bar exam in February. I’m thinking of taking a bar prep course (most likely Barbri). They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? i had my canadian pr last year but didn’t do the landing since covid hit. the deadline passed of course and the immigration office reached out to check if i’m still interested and if so i should re-do a medical. assuming my medical goes through and my pr is processed and accepted again, does anyone know if landing is still a thing? my original plan was to do a landing and move after 2 years. is this still possible or does canada basically want you to move in a year or so after pr is granted?
