18 to 22 depends if you can negotiate well
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM KPMG...!!! incase if you've the offer letter already use it only for toilet paper replacement.. pls don't ruin your career...
There were many things I had been through during my 2yrs of KPMG tenure... If I elaborate everything I've to write a book 😅. I'll simply highlight few things which made me to leave KPMG..
1) communal politics
2) Bribery
3) language politics
4) KPMG policies have no power (if you have influence with some people you can manage but you have to always please them)
5) if they target you they'll go to any extent to separate you from the organisation (5 of my repotees been impacted due to this. I've fighted for them till certain extent even though I had all the supporting evidences to protect them those were not helped.. finally I felt guilty for them...)
6) Appraisal feedbacks are predefined even if you work 70hrs per week as Narayana Murthy stated you can't get the right feedback. In simple terms you work hard few set of people grow.
There are few more but above were some major reasons why I left KPMG...
So my strong advice would be don't spoil your career...
I need advice too... Can it go above 22?
If you can negotiate why not
Which practice or role are you interviewing for?
Salary range largely depends on the practice and service network.
How's the company:
- Just like any other global delivery center. You support geographies like US, Europe and Rest of the World.
- The work is primarily support driven and not frontend client facing.
- You will be asked to support on selective peices of a project mandate. The kind of support you provide again depends on your service network, geo you support, project scope, onshore engagement lead and few other factors.
- You'll mostly work as an individual contributor and responsible for your own deliverables as well provide oversight on your subordinates work.
You can take a call basis above and what kind of work you want to do as a seasoned consultant. And how you want build your profile for the future.
