I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

Talk to some other leaders in S&A? Lots of opps to grow...
D1 I feel like that’s not true. I’ve met plenty of people in former AIM that have never touched sql in their lives, yet are aligned with data analytics. Am I wrong?
Fair, but there is “real work” out there now. Lots of people are working on solutions, doing data science teams, etc

Went to a Start-up data analytics firm. Well funded, but total clown show filled with idealistic idiots with no clue how the markets work. The grass isn't greener, trust me. The caliber of people you work with now is much higher. If you want to leave, do it for your own start-up and not someone else's.
What kind of positions should I be looking at? I am not an expert in coding, but I would like to think I can work with minimal supervision and make sense of the data. Coming from heavy engineering background.
Don’t really have the ability to do this at D. They got me doing PMO, random ad hoc data stuff, some proposals, but I don’t feel like I am learning much.
Don't do it. I just came back. After two months you'll hate your life with how slow and boring it is.
LA1: where you at a startup? What was your role / what did the job involve?
Look for data analyst positions. I moved into a data engineering role at a startup and I'm loving it
Acc1: did you take a pay cut?
I was getting paid 95K as a consultant. I got a bump to 125K
A1 - What kind of company? Are we talking Bay Area start up/NYC bank or a regular company?
Thanks A1. What does your day to day look like if you don’t mind sharing? How heavy is the data portion (ie do you run queries all day or no)?

I spend about 75% of my day writing SQL or Python. The other 25% is client facing or data viz
