Hi, I am interested in applying to L.E.K and would like to know if I should apply as an associate or consultant. I have 1 year of Life Science consulting experience and a Masters in Heath Economics from a reputable school.

Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

Associate for sure- if you have a referral its pretty easy to get an interview, especially for Houston since its the least requested office
Sorry I didnt read the original post correctly- not sure how hard it is without a referral, but having a good school and consulting experience will definitely move you up the list. We have a four year track prior to C, so it would be a big jump to start there, especially considering you haven't done an MBA yet
I interviewed with LEK without a referral and it was a pretty quick turnaround (applied online, heard back in about a week).
I’m pretty sure they do A/AC/sr AC/C so a jump between A and C is a bigger gap.
Thank you for your helpful responses! I never know what level to apply for.
I’m in the houston office and happy to refer if you’d wanna chat
Hi, thank you for the offer. I am not planning to apply until later in the year. I was just obtaining some information prior to starting the process. That being said if you have a few minutes this week or next I would appreciate a quick chat about the culture, projects etc. at L.E.K.
Thank you!
Associate definitely, but you could negotiate for tenure credit to try and come in as an A2 (or maybe AC but that’s unlikely)
