If I was to compare it to my previous company, Paylocity is way better. It has the best work culture I've ever had in my career. It is very challenging but it's already a given in this industry. I get a lot of support as well from the management whenever I struggle to work something out.
Agree about the industry. Worked at ADP for 6 years and it was the best culture and supportive environment I’ve worked in. So much of focus was on employee development, instead of 100% focus only on clients. Sold out and took a job for more money lol, but would recommend ADP to anyone looking for a job. Especially if younger in career and wanting a place to develop professionally.
I wouldn’t trust all those reviews. And I always say, people leave managers, not companies. One bad manager could have created an overall negative view of the company, while someone with a great manager might love the company. And/or individuals with lack of awareness on own low performance and just blame the company. But then again, some may be true too. I like to look at both sides to see if positives outweigh, or if the negative reviews are individual experience based vs. truly reflective of company policies/potential.
I don't necessarily see that to be true. I think you can't base your opinion off of one review but if there are themes and patterns then it should be given weight. If tons of people are saying 'hey the hours are long' then likely it is. you don't have to give the reviews a ton of weight, but I wouldn't completely disregard them IMO
I have heard really good things about them. I had a friend who worked there and she said the culture and wlb are great. She also said the benefits are good.
I totally agree with VP1. Your experience with your manager affects your career. But I know the salary in Paylocity is decent. Best of luck, OP.
