1) It depends on the quality of your experience. Could range from Associate all the way to Partner. I would target the level that matches your current compensation.
2) Same format. You need to go all out studying for case interviews.
Similar situation for me recently. 20+ years experience, mostly in a specialized industry + a couple of years of management consulting. Said my interview process would be 2 first round interviews with case study in each, 2 second round interviews with case study in each, final interview with 1 case study. Went through the first interview and I withdrew myself. Personal situation dictated that decision but also did not feel it was the path for me.
(Continuing). 2nd. Question: Does McKinsey still have the same level of case interviews for experienced hires? I’m trying to determine if I need to go into full-on study/pre-mode if things move forward. Or, does 20 years of experience count for anything:-)

If your experience would justify partner that would be better. Is your contact a partner that you could discuss with them?
Contact is an AP. The recruiter is pushing for AP. I was previously a DVP for a health plan so have depth in healthcare for sure.
