Hi, I have graduated in 2019 from a Tier 2 Clg. I started working with Infosys from 2019. I wanted to do an MBA right from graduation but my family's financials made me take up the job.

MBA grads getting 60-90lpa having 5yrs experience is so not true. A very few handful of people might get to this level. Whether you want to go for an MBA depends on your interests. If you want to leave tech and pursue a career in Marketing or Finance then go for it. Otherwise I don't see any point of MBA
Sorry I actually meant 5-10 years..

Don't let pay be the only driving factor for major career changes.
MBA in tier-1 colleges is expensive, so consider the cost to ROI aspect
I know of people who earn upwards of 50 LPA without any MBA at all so MBA isn't the only gateway.
Only reason you should be doing an MBA is if you wish to move into management roles in the future.
Lastly, if you make the right moves at the right time, with luck on your side, money will follow.
Contd.
I see that MBA grads after 5-10 YOE get 60-90L.
Now I am in a confusion if I should stay in Tech(Big Data - Data Engineer) or join an MBA in top IIMs.
My best CAT percentile was 94 with lesser prep and a job on the side.
Should I start prepping for CAT next year, would that be too late or can I get similar pay in Tech. 10-15 years from now.
My Profile
10- 10/10 gpa
12 - 9.64/10
ENGG- 8.47/10
Infosys - 2.25 YOE as of November.
I would like to hear all the aspects as WLB etc.
Specialist programmer! It means you're good at technical stuff. You can easily switch and get higher package. If you choose to do MBA you'll have to spend a good amount on it, and also your work field gonna change completely. You'll be on a really good package after 5-10 years even if you continue your job. But if you really want to change your field only then go for MBA.
You'll surely earn more after MBA but for now you'll have to spend alot as well.
Finally in my opinion, continue your job!
Also I happened to find that consulting and IB companies prefer IITians and Other top colleges in placements and tier 2,3 clg students have little scope is that true?
