What’s more secure during a recession: a large well established insurance co or a small healthcare co (provider side)? Already left accenture and weighing some options

I want to leave insurance and transition into literally any tech. I’m signed up and I’m completing a few tech boot camps. What are the easiest roles to transition into?

Has anyone negotiated pay at a hospital or company that states they have different levels/tiers of fixed pay for so-and-so profession and can’t budge? I’ve worked in other fields prior to healthcare and have a hard time believing every (pick profession like PT) gets paid exactly (pick random number like $72,345). I’m skeptical because it sounds like “we have levels/tiers of fixed pay and can’t budge” is just an excuse to shut down negotiation right away. Can anyone share their experience?

I wish there was an app to find a consistent gym partner like there is bumble. Someone who has the same fitness and health goals as me. Sighhhh.

One of my former client ask me if I would join them as contractor for around 160-165k
Job offer: 2 year contract each year has a chance to turn full time, with benefit , mortgage insurance company

I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.

What is a fair/competitive salary for a therapy (PT/OT/SLP) supervisor position for a large, non-profit healthcare system in Des Moines, IA? Job post says 80-120k. I have 5 years experience as a therapist. Curious if it is reasonable to expect to make “top of scale” pay (~90-95k) for a staff PT/OT/SLP as a supervisor?

I’m at a hypergrowth company that is growing headcount organically by 5-10% per month. We acquired a smaller company earlier this year and will be unifying on an enterprise HCM system next year. We’re on two different SMB HRIS systems and are addressing questions like how we integrate benefits, payroll, etc

a) Move the acquired company to the core company system ahead of the larger implementation.
b) Roll the migration into the enterprise implementation.

This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. I was wanting to hit the job market towards the end of this year, but now I worry that if I do move companies, the recession could put me in position of last one hired first one fired.
