Hi in need of some guidance here, I just accepted a job offer for a $65k salary which i’m fine with but during the interviewing process I told the recruiter I was looking for around $75k. I had see. on the job listing directly on the company’s site that the salary cap for this role was $75k but The recruiter told me the cap was actually $65k. I checked the job listing on linkedin and it said $65k there. I thought it was strange but do want this role so didn’t think much of it before.

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

I’ve been working at a rather prestigious midsized firm in a big city for almost a year and a half now. I have been having a lot of trouble picking up work from senior partners. We are required to bill at least 150 hours per month to meet our requirement. My months are typically only 110-130 hours. It seems like the senior partners already have their “go to” associate for things. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can increase my workload? I reach out for work pretty much weekly.

Lately, I've been hearing a lot from my peers about how sales isn't a real profession.
