Hi, looking for some honest opinions. I’ve been a COTA at a long term care facility for over a year (first job out of school). I’m looking to transition to other roles, preferably remote/WFH. Any COTA’s out there who’ve had success with this transition and are able to share some insight? TIA!

Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?

Any around/over the ear headphone (with mic) recommendations for around $100? On a remote project, and spend about 4-5 hours on calls
