So about a month ago I received an email from a manager telling me that my resume was forwarded to her and she would’ve loved to set up an interview. The interview was done via zoom I thought it went well . I was then scheduled for 2nd interview that went well also . A week after the second interview I sent her an email for a follow up she responded and said that they were gonna make a decision that Friday.

General Question I started tuition reimbursement last year in August. I since have an interview with another job that is paying a lot more. You know how you apply to something not really thinking that job would call back? Should I get an offer, what do I do about tuition Reimbursement? Do they send a check and tell me to pay it? Do they take it out of my 401k? I know a lot of people will say I never shouldve applied but I didn't think too much about actually get a call back when I applied.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

What do you guys think about blue suits (not quite navy) being used as a normal suit for work, interviews, etc? I may just be colour blind but I feel like most navy’s are just too close to black

I am looking to leave my current position due to not having the opportunity to run campaigns and earn experience.
However, every interview I get asked about the campaigns that I have run.
This is starting to feel like a closed loop. Any ideas are appreciated.

Is rent downtown generally cheaper than Deep Ellum?
Looking at either renewing my lease downtown or moving to Deep Ellum. I’m wondering if I can negotiate Deep Ellum rent down by citing that my downtown apartment (similar amenities, sq ft, etc) is $400 cheaper. There’s only one building in particular I’m considering in Deep Ellum, I just can’t stomach paying almost $2k/mo for a regular one bedroom.

Regular Ed teachers may have students (mild Learning Disabled kiddos) in their room while teaching. They are saying it’s a liability issue if they have one student in the room with them, even though teaching other via Zoom. Thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this?

This is an extremely difficult position, but I bring not only a preference to work the hours they need but the experience and credentials to qualify for the upper range of the salary (RN, MSN, CHPN, 5 years hospice experience). I asked for the range and he gave the range then immediately stated that I would qualify for mid range. My goal is to find a similar position to the one I’m working now and add 20-30% to my income, the high range would meet

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data.
